Our Vision

The aim and reason for the existence of the International Pastors and Leaders Forum (IPLF) is based upon the word of God in Psalm 133 verse 1: "Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity." Based on this Word, IPLF's principle aim of existence is to build a unified body of international pastors working together to help one another, underpinned by supportive personal relationships. IPLF was therefore born to provide an avenue where international ministers of the Gospel and lay leaders in our community can come together and speak the bare truth to one another, and in sincerity and simplicity exhort and pray for one another, as a family of brothers and sisters, without any religious stratifications or classifications.

Our Mission

IPLF exists to build a unity among International Pastors and Leaders in Ottawa by creating a connectedness among pastors, a relationship between ministries and a collaboration with our community and civic partners.

The objectives of the Corporation are:

1: The Corporation may advise, assist and guide immigrant pastors in the establishment and maintenance of churches for Christian worship in the Ottawa region following the pattern of orthodox Christianity, in accordance with the teachings of the Bible.

2: To provide an avenue for mutual support and encouragement for ethnic churches through an intra-ministerial network.

3: To provide a unified voice before the various agencies of Government, including authorizations for weddings and funerals for affiliated pastors.

4: To organize events to benefit the ethnic community, including but not limited to disadvantaged youth.

5: To provide guidance to church plants, including provision of a facility for them to offer tax deductions for givings before they become charitable corporations in their own right.

6: To provide a forum for peer learning, sharing and pastoral care.

7: To provide support for settlement and integration in Canadian society.

8: To promote inter-ministerial fellowship support for worthy ministries, including emerging ministries, and awareness of Christian events and initiatives in the National Capital Region.
